Hello and Welcome
I offer depth-oriented individual psychotherapy to adults and bring over 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings – including physicians in medical training, healthcare, and community mental health.
My practice is trauma informed and LGBTQ+ affirming. I incorporate psychodynamic, family systems, and attachment theories, while utilizing a variety of modalities such as somatic therapy (Sensorimotor), mindfulness, parts work, EMDR, and CBT. As a clinical social worker, I also hold an anti-oppression and social justice framework and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds, identities, and orientations.
I often see clients for issues of general well-being and personal growth, depression and anxiety, managing stress and life transitions, healing from trauma and developmental wounds, grief and loss, and relational or family disruptions. My approach is warm, transparent and collaborative.
Integral to my work is the belief of our inherent wholeness and the importance of our interconnectedness. I enjoy working with individuals in helping them to uncover their true nature and wisdom and connect with the world around them. I also enjoy working holistically and am happy to collaborate with other holistic practitioners who may be part of your healing team.
Regarding my education, I received my MSW from Smith College School of Social Work followed by a fellowship at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and Mental Health Sciences. Since that time, I have completed numerous trainings including: DBT, CBT, mindfulness, EMDR, somatic therapies, mindfulness based self-compassion, and various trauma trainings.
In my personal time, I enjoy spending time in nature, gardening, being with loved ones and our dog, meditating, working with holistic practitioners, and taking classes for fun and personal growth (pottery, sailing, yoga, Reiki).
Practice details: I offer in-person and telehealth sessions from my office in the Fremont/Wallingford area.
I am an out of network provider, as such I do not bill insurance directly. If you have out of network benefits (please verify with your insurance company), I can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurer for partial reimbursement of my fee (depending on your plan). Fees are due at the time of service.
